I just found something and I had to tell
you about it. I want to tell the world
about it, its made me so happy, and
maybe I will, but I'm going to start
with you, Marley, because
you're one of my loyal subscribers.
If you're in a hurry, the link is below,
but if you read on (and enable pictures
in this email), you'll see what I
managed to do with this excellent
product in just an hour or so yesterday.

Thing is, recently I've been busy
consulting with corporates and writing a
book, and now I want to create a cover
for it so I can market it online.
Normally I would go to one of my trusted
graphics providers, at $200 a pop, or
use one of the ebook-cover generator
software packages I've got. But I'm
rarely truly satisfied with either of
those. The first is too expensive and
the second never really comes up that
well.
And I really want this ecover to look
good, with shading, reflection, you know
- the whole web 2.0 thing.
So I did a quick search and found the
most excellent simple tuition for
creating an ebook cover I've ever seen.
Why no one has done this before, I just
can't fathom!
And the wonder is, it uses freely
available graphics software, which I
happen to have installed on my machine
anyway. Its called GIMP. - if you don't
have it yet, and you haven't already
shelled out for Photoshop (unnecessary),
I recommend you get it. More about that
in a minute.
Anyway, so here I am with Gimp. I've
done a few things with it, but I never
thought it was capable of creating the
kind of e-covers I'd be happy with. I
really thought it was just for simple
things, nothing too bright and modern...
But then I realised how wrong I was.
This guy has created a simple step-by-
step way of using Gimp to create
*seriously* professional looking e-covers.
So anyway, back to the easy-ebook cover
script....
If you've ever wondered how they do that
reflection thing to add more reality to
an ebook cover - you'll do it.
If you've ever been impressed by the
real-looking top-edge of the book, which
give it real-to-life perspective: you'll
have it.
And if you've always liked the slight
reflection some artists put on their
ecovers which bring it to life and
enhance the 3-D nature of it... you'll
get it.
Everything you want to achieve for your
own ebook covers, you can now do with
F.R.E.E software. That's right, this
isn't some plugin for the overpriced
Photoshop program, or yet another stand-
alone ecover generator which produces
unconvincing cardboard-cutout-like
ecovers.
This gives you the real deal and I
strongly suggest you add it to your
Internet Marketing armoury. It uses free
tools, and the guide itself costs next
to nothing!
Good-looking ecovers are vital if you
want to sell downloadable information or
software online. If you've got some PLR
and you want to market it with your own
ecover, this is your chance to do it
with something you can be proud of.
Really Marley, this little
pack of info blew me away. I'm really
chuffed with it, and I think you will be
too:

I hope this helps.
Best wishes
Tim Brocklehurst
PS: This shows you how to do fantastic
ecovers with simple tips and tricks, but
that's not all. See what else you can do
with those skills too...
